The duties of the investigators centers on locating, comparing and identifying fingerprints found at scenes and the identification of deceased individuals by fingerprints. The investigators are also responsible for photography at major crime scenes.
The unit also has the additional responsibility of bloodstain analysis, serial number restoration, and examinations for trace evidence utilizing state-of- the-art forensic laser techniques.
