EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH
MICHELLE BLOUNT
In November 2018, the agency was investigating a homicide that involved a severely burned deceased victim whose identity was unknown. Michelle was tasked with obtaining any possible fingerprints, which was extremely difficult due to the condition of the body. She used her vast knowledge and a rather unconventional method in obtaining an identifiable print that is rarely utilized and difficult to successfully perform. Michelle succeeded in obtaining a print and immediately began attempting to identify the victim. She worked well past normal hours to make the identification. With her tenacity, determination and hard work, the victim’s identity was confirmed.
Without knowing the victim’s identity, as investigation is halted and possible evidence can be lost. For her incredible level of determination and going outside normal methods to collect the print, Michelle Blount is awarded the agency’s Employee of the Month for January. Congratulations!
