Synopsis:At approximately 5:15pm on 04/20/19 Driver #1was traveling east bound on Buckeye rd near US 301 when Driver #2 who was traveling westbound observed D1 swerving in and out of his lane, eventually running D2 off the road.
D1 then pulled over and D2 circled back around, pulling up beside him and both drivers exchanged a few words.
D1 then approached the passenger’s side of D2’s vehicle and began arguing and leaning into his open window. D2 told him to back away and then armed himself with a pistol. He pointed it at D1 and told him to back away.
D1brandished his own weapon and as he leveled it at D2, D2 fired striking D1, killing him.
Driver 2 then retreated to the east side of US 301 and called 911 and waited for MSO’s arrival.
Driver #1 was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
Names are not being released at this time. The investigation continues.
