At
approximately 3:19 am on 08/05/19 deputies responded to a Hold Up Alarm at the
Speedway Gas Station. Upon arrival they discovered that two unknown black males
had just robbed the store in a similar way as other recent gas station
robberies.
According to the nighttime
clerk, two unknown black males entered the store and attempted to distract him
by asking to see miscellaneous items behind the counter. The clerk, refused to
move and the suspects left the store only to return a few seconds later. The
suspects rushed back into the store and told the clerk they
had a gun, however, the clerk never saw a gun. One suspect watched the clerk while
the second suspect went behind the counter with a large black plastic bag and
stole an unknown amount of cigarettes.
