Person/Suspect Info
Employee of the Month – March 2022
Melissa Raburn
The agency's new hire process begins with an on-line application. As applicants progress through the hiring process, paper files are created to document the process. The files are eventually scanned into the OnBase system by Human Resources staff. Each file takes approximately an hour to scan.
HR Specialist Melissa Raburn identified an opportunity for improvement and set out to develop a solution. She created a paperless document process and worked with all divisions to achieve results that maximized efficiency and greatly enhanced our applicant experience. She coordinated with Internal Affairs (IA) to create a digital workflow from start to finish that meets the needs of both IA and HR. She also consulted with IT to identify the right technology and maximize its use from hardware, software, and security roles to create an ideal set-up.
For her efforts to improve the application process and make it more efficient for all parties involved, while keeping up her regular workload, Melissa Raburn has been named MCSO’s Employee of the Month for March 2022.
