Update 03/31/22:

Detectives are looking for Lee Lashay Martin of Sarasota so they can interview him about the 2018 Homicide of Michael Angelo Jacoby Grantley, DOB 01/23/76. Martin is NOT the same person detectives were trying to identify from the Wawa back in 2020. (See information on the case below)

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Lee Lashay Martin is asked to contact the MCSO at 941-747-3011.

Update 10/15/20:

Detectives are looking new information as they continue to investigate the 1/15/18 homicide of Michael Angelo Jacoby Grantley, DOB 01/23/76. The day of the homicide, Grantley was in the Wawa convenience store at 3703 N. Washington Blvd., Sarasota. Detectives are attempting to locate the man who appears to be with Grantley in the store. The unidentified subject is standing to the right of Grantley. (attached photos)

An autopsy later determined that Grantley died from a fatal gunshot wound. A reward of up to $5000 is being offered by the Gold Star Club of Manatee County for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information is urged to contact the MCSO at 941-747-3011 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS.

At approximately 8:35 am on January 15, 2018, deputies responded to a body in the area of the 3500 block of 26th Ave. E., Bradenton. A worker in the area discovered the body.

When deputies arrived, they discovered a deceased black male subject approximately 30 yards south of 26th Ave. E. Detectives are treating the case as a homicide and are working to identify the victim. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
